Stephanie Nalls Backstrom

Stephanie Backstrom is the Chief Executive Officer of BEE Ready, a leadership training and development coaching service for individuals and Performance Improvement Consulting for Companies. Bee Ready's training services are focused on Performance Improvement, Career Transition, Career Development, Effective Communication, Goal Setting, and Problem Solving.

As an entrepreneur, Ms. Backstrom, has created a company philosophy that teaches techniques in the art of being focused, prepared, and having total wellness. She also organizes and sponsors community events to share her knowledge during workshops, presentations, an fitness clinics at colleges and non-profit organizations.
Prior to launching Bee Ready in 2001, Ms. Backstrom, graduated from GMI Engineering & Management Institute, with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Management. Then she held various manufacturing, process, and quality engineering and management positions at Ford Motor Company, Harley Davidson, Eaton, Medtronic, General Motors, Dresser and Mercedes Benz. During her tenure she has led various diversity committees, training seminars, Kaizen events, New Product Launches, and Green Field Manufacturing construction. Stephanie's broad background with over 20 years of experience, has given her a wealth of knowledge and a solid foundation to develop human potential and performance excellence using Lean and 6 Sigma methodologies.

Ms. Backstrom is member of the PowerBar Elite Team, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., National Society of Black Engineers, certified with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and Kauffman Entrepreneurial Fast Trac. In 1996 she was listed among Who's Who Among Professional Women, in 1998 she was ranked as one of Ebony's Top 25 Super Single Sisters and in 2004 she was listed as one of Jacksonville's Up & Comers by the Jacksonville Business Journal. In 2005 Bee Ready was certified by the Jacksonville NFL Super Bowl Host Committee as a preferred vendor for employment services and in 2006 Stephanie was chosen as a finalist to present her business pitch at the Black Enterprise Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas. Stephanie also received her MBA in 2011 from Kettering University.
